Ella’s Events

Send Away Terms and Conditions 

1.     Provisional bookings are held for two weeks. Deposit, completed form and signed terms and conditions must be returned within these two weeks. If however, we do not receive this within 14 days your booking will no longer be valid.

2.     A deposit of £50 is required to secure your booking but does not act as part payment towards your final balance.

3.     All deposits are cashed upon receipt for security reasons.

4.     All deposits will be refunded upon the return of the hired goods, minus deductions for loss or damage, within 30 days of the hire date.

5.     You will be notified of any damaged/missing or extra items used, within 30 days of the hire date.

6.     Deposit returns not cashed within 6 months will not be replaced by another cheque.

7.     In the event of the Hirer cancelling their booking the £50 deposit is not refundable and non transferable under any circumstances.

8.     Final payment and numbers must be received 4 weeks, and no later, prior to the event. If not received by then your booking will be regarded as invalid.

9.     Cancellations within 4 weeks of the hire date or invalid bookings (as explained above) are still liable to be paid in full.

10.   Hired goods remain the property of Ella’s events at all times.

11.   Prices quoted are quoted for one day’s hire but allows time for delivery and collection

12.   Ella’s Events cannot be held responsible for any accident or injury which occurs while hiring our goods, howsoever caused.

13.   Ella’s Events reserve the right to use any photographs of their property taken during the hire period for promotional purposes, unless otherwise advised by the Hirer.

14.   In the highly unlikely event that Force Majeure or other circumstances beyond our control (illness, death etc) where we are unable to complete your order you will be refunded in full; however, no other compensation will be given.

15.   It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that the chair covers ordered will be suitable for the chairs used at their venue and that the venue do not intend to change the style of chair before the date of Hirer’s event. We cannot be held responsible for covers not fitting if this is the case.

16.   It is the Hirer’s responsibility to ensure that they or their representative are present at the delivery address on the delivery date, as the courier will require a signature

17.   Although care is taken to ensure your covers are as crease free as possible, it is inevitable that there will be some creasing due to the covers being folded to fit the box.

18.   Deliveries to third parties are made entirely at your own risk.

19.   The Hirer must not undertake washing, tumble drying or ironing of our property under any circumstance.

20.   Aborted deliveries will incur a charge of £10.

21.   Ella’s Events cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of goods due to failure on the part of our couriers.

22.   Ella’s Events reserve the right to amend delivery date or substitute items in the event of circumstances out of their control. You will be notified of any change as soon as possible.

23.   No refunds will be given if less covers/sashes are required on the day.

24.   Hired goods must be ready for collection at the agreed time and location on the appointed date.

25.   If hired goods are unable to be collected on the appointed date, there will be a £15 charge per day until collection can take place.

26.   If covers and sashes fail to be returned to Ella’s Events within 5 days of hire date, an invoice will be sent to the Hirer for costs of replacing items at retail price including VAT and delivery costs.

27.   If our couriers are unable to collect on the appointed date and this affects subsequent bookings; the Hirer will be charged the cost of replacing items to fulfil these bookings.

28.   Hired goods must be securely packed in the boxes in which they were delivered. If there is more than one box, items must be divided equally between them to stay within specific carrier advised weight limits. Charges will be incurred for incorrect weights and will be deducted from your deposit.

29.   A £10 surcharge will be made for any goods returned to us in inadequate packaging e.g. plastic bags

30.   Sashes must be untied before being returned to us. A £15 charge will be deducted from deposit if they are left untied.

31.   It is the Hirer’s responsibility to instruct the venue of arrangements and terms and conditions. If the venue is at fault for not complying with our terms and conditions, the Hirer will be charged. It is then the Hirer’s responsibility to reclaim costs from the venue

32.   The Hirer is responsible for any loss or damage which occurs from the time of delivery until the goods are returned to our premises. ‘Loss’ means any item not returned to us following the hire ‘Damage’ means , for example, burns, tears, rips, bodily fluid,  candle wax marks, stains which are impossible to remove.

33.   Replacement/damage fees are as follows: Chair Cover - £10 Sash - £3.50 Runner - £4.50 Napkins - £1.50 Tablecloths and glass wear - £20 Table number holders - £3.00

34.   Excessively dirty covers will incur a surcharge of £15; this is deducted from deposit.

35.   If missing/damaged items exceed the £50 damage deposit, an invoice will be issued and is payable within 30 days.

36.   If the Hirer is able to return any missing items for which they have been charged, we will refund them.

20.     While Ella’s Events will make every effort to attend your set up, we must point out that in the event of emergency e.g serious illness, severe weather, traffic delays etc Ella’s Events can take no responsibility for non - attendance.

21.     Ella’s Events cannot be held responsible for any accident or injury which occurs while hiring our goods, howsoever caused.

22.     Ella’s Events are not able to move chairs into position at your venue; if the room and/or chairs are not ready we may be unable to provide our set up service.

23.     Electricity is required in the set up location.

24.     Health and safety regulations means that we may be unable to operate our steamer if there is insufficient room and therefore some creases will remain

25.     Ella’s Events reserve the right to use any photographs of their property that they have taken, during the hire period for promotional purposes.
